Intellectual Property

1. The software

SchoolERP — its source code, design, documentation and name — belongs to BODOOKHRANG TECH PRIVATE LIMITED. A subscription grants the School a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it for the term, and nothing more.

The School may not copy, decompile, resell, sublicense or white-label the platform, or use it to build a competing product.

2. The School's data

Everything the School and its users put into the platform belongs to the School. We claim no ownership of it, no licence to use it for our own purposes, and no right to keep it after the retention periods in the Data Retention & Deletion Policy.

We hold a licence to process it only so far as running the platform for that School requires.

3. Custom features

A feature built at a School's request becomes part of the platform and may be made available to other schools. What stays the School's is its data and its configuration; the code is ours. Where a School wants something built exclusively for it, that needs a separate written agreement.

4. Branding

A School's name and logo are used inside its own tenancy, on its documents and in its app listings, for the purpose of running the School. We will ask before naming a School publicly as a customer, and a School may withdraw that permission at any time.

The SchoolERP name and mark are ours. A School may say it uses SchoolERP; it may not present the platform as its own product.

5. Feedback

If a School suggests an improvement, we may build it without owing anything for the suggestion. That is not a claim on the School's data, and nothing in a suggestion transfers ownership of anything else.

6. Third-party components

The platform includes open-source components used under their own licences. A list is available on request.
