Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

1. What the platform is not

SchoolERP is a record-keeping and administration system. It is not accounting advice, legal advice, or a statutory record in its own right. Where a School is required by a board or an authority to maintain a record in a particular form, meeting that requirement remains the School's responsibility.

Figures the platform reports — fee totals, attendance percentages, results, analytics and anything the assistant states — are derived from the data the School has entered. They are only as accurate as that data.

2. The assistant in particular

The assistant answers from the School's own records using defined lookups, and is built so that it cannot reach another school. It is nonetheless a language model and can misread a question or summarise imprecisely. Its answers are a convenience, not an authority: check anything you are about to act on against the underlying screen. We do not accept liability for a decision taken on an assistant answer alone.

3. Warranties

We warrant that we will provide the platform with reasonable skill and care, that we will meet the Service Level Agreement, and that we will handle personal data as the Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement describe.

Beyond those, and to the extent the law permits, the platform is provided as it stands. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

4. What we are not liable for

• Loss arising from data the School or its users entered incorrectly.
• Loss arising from a School's own failure to control who holds an account.
• Loss arising from a third party the School has chosen — a payment gateway's outage, a registrar's error, an app store's decision.
• Indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of goodwill.

5. The cap

Our total liability to a School in any twelve-month period is limited to the total amount that School paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Nothing in this or any other document limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for a breach of statutory data-protection duties for which the law provides otherwise.
